Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental health condition often characterized by highly volatile and chaotic emotions. People who experience BPD tend to have difficulty managing their emotions, moods, and impulses and may experience problems in their interpersonal relationships as a result.1 In particular, people with BPD have challenges with self-control.
